The research applicant shall apply online through OFS web page of the Department along with research proposal.
The Research Committee of UWIFORT shall approve/reject the proposal and inform concerned CFO.
The applicant shall be informed on the approval or rejection of the research proposal by the Research Steering Committee within one month from the date of submission of proposal.
Where the proposed research entails felling of tree, taking of Plant, Wildlife specimen and animal handling/collaring, the Research Committee of the UWIFORT shall further seek clearance from the Technical Committee of the Department.
Research permit shall be downloaded online from OFS web page of the Department.
Upon completion of the research field work, a copy of the raw research data shall be submitted to the UWIFORT of the Department.
A research permit fee shall be levied to the researcher as follows:
Bhutanese individual and student: Free
Foreign Students pursuing studies in any of the universities in Bhutan; Free
Foreigners: Nu. 10,000/-
A research proposal should be attached along with the application.
